Lexzau, Scharbau GmbH & Co. KG gets AEO certificate
The international logistics provider Lexzau, Scharbau GmbH & Co. KG, flagship of the Anker Leschaco Group with its headquarters in Bremen, was certified by the main customs office and gets the title of „Authorized Economic Operator“.
(Bremen, 20 February 2009) With the AEO certificate the company gets a special status for customs clearing and security checks. That makes it easier and faster for customs to clear goods.
„The authorization as economic operator shows our customers that they have a co-operation with an especially reliable and confidential partner in the international logistics industry”, Wolfhard Strom, manager customs affairs of the Lexzau, Scharbau GmbH & CO. KG, explained.
The AEO certification was implemented in 2008 to ensure compliance with the increased safety requirements. The authorization is dependent on numerous prerequisites concerning reliability, solvency, previous compliance with the relevant statutory provisions, and if applicable compliance with particular safety standards.
